Homeless Coalition

WE’RE FIGHTING HOMELESSNESS AND HUNGER IN OUR COMMUNITY.

The Homeless Coalition, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization incorporated in June 1989 serving Southwest Florida. What started as a "feeding ministry" is now a food distribution site for over 600 households a month and hot meals 365 days of the year. The Coalition's direct services include our Emergency Shelter, Homeless Prevention services, and Hunger Prevention services.

Homelessness is a widespread, societal issue that affects every community – even here in the paradise of Southwest Florida. The Homeless Coalition not only provides emergency services such as shelter and food to hundreds of people a year, but it also works with families to secure more financially stable futures. For some people, getting a job can be difficult without a proper form of ID or a dependable ride to work. We can help clients overcome those obstacles so that employment can be secured. We can help families stay in their homes by finding emergency funding to cover electric bills, etc.

It’s never hopeless at the Homeless Coalition. The Homeless Coalition finances some of these programs through the Fabulous Finds Re-Sale Shop, where 100% of the proceeds go right back to fighting homelessness. As an impact-driven group, we reinvest a majority of our profits to achieve sustainability, grow our resources, and ensure the fulfillment of our mission to promote a positive impact to our community and resolve homelessness and hunger.
